Candidates must possess:
- Certificate of Competency as Master of Foreign Going Ship issued by the Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of India or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Minimum 1-year post-qualification experience as Master / Chief Officer of a foreign-going ship.
All qualifications must be from recognized institutions approved by UGC/AICTE/competent authorities.
